In the busy Klang Valley, the Chan sisters searched and searched for the true taste of Penang. But they couldn’t find it. So they decided to bring the flavours home themselves.

Growing up in a big family, the sisters always knew that good food brings people together. They realised that leaving Penang didn’t mean they had to lose their mother’s cooking. So they decided to learn their mother’s recipes, step by step.

In 1999, that dream opened its doors as Little Penang Kafé in Mid Valley Megamall. For the first time, the island’s famous hawker dishes lived together under one roof. Today, the same recipes they grew up with now fill bowls across Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur.
